Vampiric Legend reflects more closely to the negative aspect of the mirror superstition, for, as we commonly understand, a vampire has no soul and therefore no reflection, and as the blood of the victim is slowly drained from the body and the vampire's incisors make their mark, so the individual watches his reflection in the mirror slowly disappear. Even a disturbance in the reflection can cause an imbalance in the relationship between the body and soul, and this is where the seven years bad luck comes into the story.
