Curt Deatherage writes: This is a scanned image of a picture that was given to me in the early 1980's by my great aunt. I don't have any information about it except what is written on the back. I'm assuming that it was maybe submitted to a magazine, based on the "can you use this?" that appears at the lower right hand side of the back of the picture. Also, I would guess that the reason that all of the handwriting on the back of the picture appears the same is that there were no copy machines in those days. I would guess the photographer it notarized, but had no way to duplicate that, so he just wrote what appeared on the original. At the time she gave me the picture, she also gave me a couple of old cameras she had acquired over the years. One of those cameras has a small door on the back that flips open, and a small brass pen that one could write on the negative, which is where I think the "copyright" message came from.
