Calvin did not like to stray away from home. That's why he did most of his killings in the Park Plaza Hotel in Manhattan where he lived.
He heard voices telling him to kill old people and he did as he was told.
He enjoyed raping his victims before and after death. He was arrested while he was carrying a stolen TV down a fire escape. He was also suspected, although never convicted, of five additional killings in Buffalo.
