Ive had mine for about 2 years now, my boyfriend says it feels great, especially when its cold. Tis also really nice when chics have them.
But if u wanna get it pierced for sexual purposes, its recommended that for guys its done at the tip (for obvious reasons  ) and for chics a little further back on the tongue 
Tis a great teasing accessory tho whoever has it!

I don't understand why the young people of today need so many 'props'! 
Personally I wanted one a few years back, but due to popular demand I resisted the urge, even though the self-mutilation seemed just up my alley....
The thing that really annoys me about tongue rings though is when you see people playing with them... erk... what is that all about?!?
I am sure on a sexual level it could enhance more stimulation to certain areas and Jaz you mention about your boyfriend liking it when its cold... what ever happened to the humble ice cube or even a mouthful of bourbon... they both work wonders... or so I am told

Ur right Shy, a few ice cubes in strategically placed places, a nice ribbon to tie him up and a blindfold work just as good as any piercing!
I had my tongue done for the same reasons I've had everything else I have pierced....they look pretty to me. Not many see em all, but I just think they look pretty. And they're all pink! Plus the whole pain thing is kinda cool. Cold metal, sharp needle, pretty stud or ring or barbell *thumbs up*
And (on a really sick level, but please don't take this offensively anyone) I bet I have more pink bits than u do!

Oh Jaz! You sound like my kinda of girlie!
Though I must say I am not one for ribbons, tend to go with belts and straps... though I did meet a guy once that had a gimp mask and a trapese and that sort of scared the shit out of me... but I think now that thats because of the fact that he thought he was going to get dominant with me ... yeah right!
If you like the whole piercing thing you go girl! Though the subtle ones I feel would be more appealing, simply cause everyone doesn't get to see them and only a few know they are there... kind of like appropriately placed tatts.
More pink bits than me? Hmmm.... can we have photographic proof here Jaz?

Um, I have some pics of when I first had stuff pierced; tongue, belly and "gear", I dont have any pics of my ears coz hay, everyones seen ears pierced!
I've since changed the barbells etc so everything is pink but I dont have fresh photos yet. Gotta get hold of a digital camera! If you wanna see I'll email em and you can stick em on here if you want.......lol its kinda weird, they're close up shots!
