A girl is left home alone with her dog to protect her in a locked house. The girl goes to bed and wakes up because of a dripping sound. She is nervous so she puts her hand down for the dog to lick. The dog comforts her and she goes back to bed. This happens two more times before she gets up. It turns out that the dog is skinned and hanging in the bathroom. The dripping was blood. Written on the floor by her bed is "humans can lick too". Some years later she is raped and killed in the same house. Neither murderer was ever found.
