if i was going to hurt myself i'd stab a knife all the way through.
either way you look at it, it's doing your body physical harm and causing pain.
why be proud of something like that?
some people cause pain to others, some just break. dealing with stress isnt an exact science, but there are things that flat out dont work. reminds me of leaches before medical science gave a shit.
lets drain some blood, that'll cure ya.
and proud of it? how old are you? i've known TERRIBLE self-muts. ive seen acts taken way too far, heard of gruesome (like this video on stileproject, showed a girl stabbing her eye with a fork and ripping it out)
just go back a couple years, self destruct with booze and drugs like the rest of us.
im sick of all those angry teens who cut themselves but say they're better than other people because they dont do drugs or drink.
heres the thing, can you stop cutting at will and never do it again? just straight flat out? no? then isnt it a drug?
i dated a girl who cut, bad.
she thought her scars were ugly, she hated the fact that she was driven to such a level of anguish that she had no idea what to do or how to fix it, that she had to incur physical pain unto herself to even out mental anguish.
ive known people who are all Growed-up, 20-25 to 30
they are positively ASHAMED of their scars, so much that they want laser surgery for them.
long story short, think long term. long story short, think Period.
what good can honestly come of it? unless you're into body mod, and you're going to write names and draw shit in your flesh...
Find another outlet. you arent healthy. this isnt judgement, it's just the way it is. dont point a finger at me and call me some kind of "Norm" or pretend i dont have the slightest idea what i'm talking about. either way, there is something that isnt right.
picking at your face or arm or something... zits too?
lots of people do things like that- i think it's more like biting your nails. it's not as harmful or self-defeating as much of the other forms of self-mut.

I'm not a 'hard-core' cutter. I was cutting ever since I was 11 but it was nothing serious. Those bad marks are eraser burns. Do you know there are tons of people who eraser burn for no reason other than to distract themselves from boredem? Eraser burns don't even hurt until you touch them, they sting. I'm 15 going to be 16. I wear my wounds with pride. Some people cut themselves so it scars into a tattoo of some sort, my friend does it all the time, and he's good at it too, he also wants to be an artist. When it's finished it does look like an un-colored tattoo.
Belive me I don't think I'm too good to do drugs/achohal. I've done alot. Mostly achohal. And I also hate those people, bible-thumping idiots who organize all of the stupid anti drugs/drinking assembleys that we are subjected to..All year. It's excruciateingly boring. Yes I can't spell. I guess what I'm saying is I see what you're talking about. And someday yes I'll be ashamed to be that old lady in the nurseing home with the scars along my arm and leg. But right now I'm not. It's me, and it's not like I'm the only one who does it.

I think you both should whoa back just a tad! Unknown you are expecting to voice your opinion and if you truly don't care what others think, whats the point of telling us... Renae what did you expect to see here? Being my site, it could have been ALOT worse!

| this thread makes me very sad......Unknown Loser, i hope you work through whatever things you've gone through and come out of it a somewhat normal adult. it makes me very sad to think of what some kids have to go through, and how they "relieve' their stress. If my daughter started mutilating herself in anyway--OMG, I dont know what I'd do..... |
