BERLIN (Reuters) - German police have arrested a Croatian woman who was traveling with her two-year-old son shut up in a suitcase on the way to an exorcist, authorities said on Thursday.
Police in the Bavarian capital Munich said they arrested the 24-year-old mother at a bus stop after a passenger heard noises coming from her suitcase and discovered the almost naked toddler huddled up inside.
"It was almost freezing that day, but the boy was only wearing a nappy. He was shivering quite badly but unharmed," said a police spokesman.
The woman told police her son was "possessed by the devil" and that she wanted to bring him to an occult priest, the spokesman added. She is now in psychiatric care.

Hmmmmmm, that's one way to keep a kid quiet on a train.
I guess this is an ex-treme case of deeply rooted religious belief, what a horrible thing to do.

Good point, perhaps only an Angel knows. I heard that an ex-whorsism is only to be performed with Papal approval, takes a long tyme to attain, but is performed by a priest, they get the un-der-lings to do the dirty work.
I suppose by that tyme the possesion might be far rooted, and I heard that Priests often just go a-head and DO it, and keep quiet about it......it would in all probability ruin a families community rep-you-tation if other-wise. Maybe that is why this crazy wo-man put the kid in a case, to con-ceal her intent. Motivation is the key to many crimes.....

My grandfather was exorcised here in Cleveland .Yes it does not happen very often and is difficult to get such permission to do so. i think his was done in the 1950s He was obsessed not pocessed . A evil entity would torment him and try to force him to jump from his bedroom window at night.

What was he obessed with?
Couldn't have been anyhting friendly since it was driving him to try to jump from his window - thats terrible.

I would think an evil entity or demon sort of thing .Having not sctually seen the situation first hand I am not sure. But he spoke in other languages and would seem to be arguing with the entity. But he was ok after this was done for him.
