Not to get hokey here, but in my country today we are remembering our war dead, those whom died in America's various wars, supposed to be a somber tyme which many celebrate by cooking shit on BBQ grills manufactured in China then watching overpaid dipshits play a childs game on television sets manufactured by countries we were formerly at war with.....or possibly soon will be.....myself, I always opt to immmerse into memmory, clean a few tombstones and fire several cannon salute loads. Fasting also helps, but a full bottle of Old Crow whiskey REALLY helps the day go faster. I also contemplate suicide this day every year, but will never do that, it is just that the thought is so entertaining. Anyone else get into the spirit of this holiday with vigor and memorial amplitude? Remember Galapoli? Fuck war, fuck all war, it only makes good movies, but you won't hear no top hit 40 song over it.

Whiskey here, rented but nearly returned.......remember, beverages are merely LEASED, naught purchased.
Wanna know what it is about? It is a guilt complex, to a great degree, some wonder why they did naught catch the golden BB when others did, and whether those who did gave more, or less, or if any of it all really matters. I wish I had tv.........

How about Eric Burden's "Sky Pilot?" "The smell of gun grease and the bayonets they shine."

And why the suicidal thought, when there are pork ribs aplenty, hard liquor in abundance, and a nation of folks who cannot even spell "Memorial"? Seems to me that your aim would be better taken at those who feel fine about taking an extra day off work, but would never conceive of taking a second glance at the recruiting office? I am not one to enlist in any causes, or enroll in any clubs besides my own. I do however feel that the selfish, stupid, and easily led populace of this great "Land of the Free", could maybe use a dose of battle stress, just so that they may take a sincere moment to remember the lives lost in "military actions" which seem so pointless. Taking nothing away from the warriors who have, and do fight for what they feel are worthy causes. I just think of the families, the friends, the legacies left behind those who step to the front lines. War has always been, but damned if my soul digests it easily, though my brain accepts it as a fact of life...or death.
