Poll Question:
Shy and I have noticed we have a fair few readers from Sydney Australia - our home town.
We were wondering if anyone would be interested in meeting up on a ghost tour like the Quarrantine Station or Liz Vincents Picton Tours or any other local tours you might be familiar with.
Anyway, have a vote and also post any suggestions.
Cheers, Buck.

Look I''d like to but I''m doing my hair that night.
I organise ghost tours for workmates. I've done 2 Quarantine Station tours - they are good value for money. I'm also arranging a tour of the Parramatta Government House at work and would like to do the Picton one. The Rocks tours are also excellent - I did one with the other Ghostwatch people. I'll be in any ghost tour going - I love ghosthunting.

Shy and I did the Quarrantine Station tour last September but we got stuck with 6 drunken pommy backpackers in the group who were constantly yahooing and "booing" each other all the time - really stuffed it up for everyone else.
On thse tours you have done, have you seen anything ?
The first one we did we had a "thingy" follow us down to the Hospital - I could just make out something in my peripheral vision but I could feel him there. He wouldn't go beyond the Hospital. My brother was out on the verandah of the hospital in the dark and he feel the floorboards give behind him and heard a huge sigh - he thought it was someone from our group but no-one was there when he turned round. I couldn't go into the Shower Block - it just got colder and colder the closer I came to it. I walked in and walked straight out again. My daughter had a full-on channeling experience in the Morgue which scared the shit out of her as she has never had a psychic experience before. On our second trip we had a couple of nifty orbs in the 1st class dining room. Somethings (there felt like 3) followed us down to the 3rd class dining area - we could hear leaves moving on the path when there was no wind. Kate (my daughter) heard a voice go "HEY" right beside her at the bottom of the path leading down to the showers and 2 girls were told by a male voice to "GET OUT" when leaving the showers. It's better when you can book the tour out - if you get 20 or more they will run a tour just for you. I can always fill a tour with people from my work who are there for the ghosts if you want to go with like-minded folk.

On the Rocks tour the guide stopped by the sandstone column that has the convict/soldier on it. He was telling us a story about the house behind him. This American couple took a picture of him, using a very advanced digital camera. There was a man-sized shape in white standing just beside the guide. Really freaked him out. On the Windsor one (another really good tour that is worth the money) they take you through the information centre which was an old house. Downstairs we had a good cold spot that everyone could feel, and I heard a child laughing. We got some really good ghost stories of the houses we walked past and when it came to the convict burial site Kate saw a man running away from the group who disappeared after 3 or 4 steps and we got a mass of orbs in one shot that disappeared in the next. The idea is to do these tours with an open mind - by which I mean that all things are possible but look for the rational answer first.

The shower block - which is aledgedly the most haunted place in Australia was runined for us by the drunken tourists as this is when they were at there loudest. They kept grabbing and booing each other at least 50 times it didn't matter that it got old after the third time.
We were thinking the best way to do one of these tours would be to book one out with people who are serious about it.
On our Picton tour some idjit rocked up with a broken leg which was only put in plaster 2-3 days before so they followed us around in their Mazda Tribute 4WD !
