I dunno who else enjoyed Underworld but I sure cant wait til the sequel comes out 
There is no American release date set yet that I can find, but I did find this...
Len Wiseman, director of this year's hit vampire movie Underworld, told the Moviehole Web site that the upcoming sequel will dig deeper into the movie's werewolves-vs.-bloodsuckers mythology. "This time we can expect more history about the vampires and the werewolves, which we weren't able to do in the first one," Wiseman told the site. "There's going to be a bit of actual battle in the medieval times between the werewolves and vampires, with, like, armor-clad vampires on horses, kind of like Braveheart."
Wiseman added, "It'll play out a bit like Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, where the first 10 to 15 minutes of the film will be a prequel. We're going to really dive into the Dark Ages, and then center some more on the modern day."
Wiseman said the many of the first film's cast, which was headed by Wiseman's real-life fiancee, Kate Beckinsale, will return. "But also new cast, too," he said. "It's in early development, so of course we have no idea whom, but yeah, some new people will be involved."

That first Underworld movie was FANTASTIC!!! Other than the obvious firearms mistakes, 200+ rounds out of a pistol that holds 8-16, I just LOVED that flick! Did naught hurt that Selena was so sexy, either....the props and sets were awesome, the story line, great.

i also enjoyed underworld ,if you like Kate Beckinsdale and vampires then VanHelsing is a must see

Hehe, angel, you obviously havent yet read my SLAMMING, ooops, I meant POSTING of Van Hel-loser 
The movie was a major jumbled mess and highly disappointing. Too many gothic stories in one movie, and some really warped ideas that just killed the movie. With Kate's character, it seemed like she coudlnt decide wheterh to be a straight out damsel in distress or a Xena Warrior Princess style look-out-im-gonne-whoop-your-arse-coz-I-feel-like-it kinda gal. It just seemed she couldnt pull of a decent emotion and style. I'll stop now
