WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- A man who allegedly made 1,500 calls to nine girls and women in the past month -- including 800 to one teenager -- has been arrested on a hate crime charge. Sattar Mohammad, 21, of Yonkers, was charged with aggravated harassment as a hate crime, Westchester District Attorney Jeanine Pirro said. Spokeswoman Anne Marie Corbalis said the hate crime designation applied because Mohammad allegedly targeted women. If convicted he could be sentenced to 16 months to four years in prison. Pirro said Mohammad would frequently tell the women that he was watching them and threaten to kill or injure them. He also made animal noises and suggestive comments, she said.

16 months doesn't seem like a very long time for some deserving scum...

I would recommend a LOT more jail time also, and of course revoke all prison telephone privileges......

I know I believe that sentencing across the board is pretty lame. I know of a case where a guy molesting his girlfriends little girl got sentenced to 18 months weekend detention... and I don't know about you but this makes me sick to my stomach!
This kind of leniency is instilling in our children's minds that it is ok for adults to behave in this manner, whether it be adults touching children inappropriately or any other crime.

Sad state of affairs when known criminals, convicted beyond doubt, obviously evil, seem to have more rights than good citizens. Still, it is an odd thing, child molesters in prison, get there asses KICKED by other inmates on a most regular basis. And chances are good that some convicted dipshit on a light weekend sentance will be dissapeared by concerned citizens, or family affected by his/her evil actions. It is a small world, after all.

Thats one creepy looking dude.
800 times to one girl - the poor woman.
I've been stalked over the phone before, but I knew who it was and he stopped eventually. It wasn't so much scary, just really really irritating.
But having a total stranger stalk you, that would suck!
