I started out on the Commodore 64 and then graduated to the Amiga when it was first launched.
The piracy scene on the Commodore 64 and Amiga were awesome...I had over 200 games for each machine - all pirates ! We used to copy VHS movies for guys in Europe and send them to them in exchange for the latest software - apparantly back then Europe used to get the big Hollywood movies as they were just coming out on video rental here.
Good times, great memories of the C64 - used to be fun writing your own little prgrams too.

ah yes, i loved the ol' programming days (perhaps because i was able to understand a fraction of it..) but don't forget the wierd "poke" command on the Spectrum (the equivilent of sticking a screwdriver in the computer to see what just might happen!)
i recall buying a game with a friend of mine and rushing home to play it on his Sinclair ZX81 (!!) the cover spoke of dragons, evil wizards and saving a beautiful princess....we were in awe.
after waiting to load the thing up we were presented with an number "8" (signifying you) and you fought off the evil @'s with your special wand which fired ='s. what a pile of wank. |

We had Apple IIes at highschool...and then they ugraded to Atari 520 ST's !
That was probably the dumbest move ever ! Those things died out even quicker than the Amigas.

Populos - yeah !
One of the first games my friends and I ever played over a modem against each ither on.
On the Amiga we also used to spend hours kicking each others ass on Archon II.

THE LAST NINJA. one of the best games on commodore 64. Does anyone remember a game called Turrican.
I also had a game on the c64 about a woman that was strippin' her clothes off and then started masturbating. It was great fun to watch even though she looked like a Lego puppet.

for some gay reason, canadians pronounce Lego as "Lay-Go" (as opposed to "Leg-Go") but then what can you expect from a country which considers Moustaches and Mullet haircut's as fashionable.
that said, I loved my Lego (although i only had the old brick set - not even one lego man with that stupid 'canadian' hairdo).
it couldn't have been long afterwards that i discovered my penis and then nothing else came close. well, apart from some of the old teddy bears obviously... |

Are you serious? LOL I saw some dude in southbank (Brisbane QLD Aust.) the other dude running a mullet. And if that wasn't a big enough statement to make, it was green. Well, an off green. And boy did he looked stoned......

You give competition to my Aunt's lovebird who goes hell for leather with a little stuffed Christmas teddy bear.

Have a great links for fans of the older games:
Retro Games
People are remaking the games you used to love on the C64 or even Atari consoles. In some cases it's a straight copy or in some cases it's a total revamp !
There's some great stuff there to be found including a guy that is remaking one of my old favourites Carrier Command !

Icehart - sadly i'm totally serious.
apparently, i hear from a hair-dresser that mullets are "coming back in" - wtf? they never, ever left the 'fashion' scene in Canada.
this country still thinks you'll be impressed if you saw the CEO of a company in an advert or commercial - regardless of how disgusting, ugly or fat the person is. crazy. |
