I sled..but I have not had the opportunity to "dog sled". But I saw Fargo and now I'm not so sure I really want to all that much. And I have been horse back riding quite a few times at my cottage and I really enjoy it.

i used to be in shows for horseback riding then PJ died he was a miniature shetland pony

but i dont really like doing anything with animals unless they enjoy it too like those shows where they do frisbee tricks and stuff with their owner thats cool!

Hi Nothing,

Yes, be careful of what you wish for, or even think, you might get it. I used to ride horses, loved it, with my dog running ahead. Recently I remodeled a carriage, but have not driven it yet. Dog-sledding sounds wonderful, I know that dogs LOVE to have a job, it is all I can do to find things for my Belgian Sheppard to do! She loves running, and I am certain she would LOVE pulling a sled, but I am not in a position to own a sufficient number of dogs to do sledding, I suppose I could rent them through an outfitter?
I am very sorry to hear of your horse, but glad you are the sort that loves and cares for animals. I cried for WEEKS when my former dog died, and still shed to this day. Don't harden your heart, but be careful regarding emotional "softness." It can have terrible effect. I have been to dark ends regarding this, and hope you come through strongly, with everything.
