What I wanna ask is, is the picture that you've made the background to this site the real photo of one of Ed Gien's victims? I'm just looking at it and trying to put myself in the shoes of that cop that ran into it in the dark.... omg, imagine it! It's probably a really stupid question, but you never know what's real and what's not on the net these days. Ed Gein is my fav SK, that's why I'm asking..
Anyway, cheers...I love this site! Keep up the good work

- Damn, I wanted to answer!
- Also I like the FF7 Sephiroth music on the home page
- Cut skin doesn't hold its shape very well. Thats why you have to tack down hides when you tan them.

Posted - 05 February 2004 : 11:31:16 PM The background piccy on the entrance to the site is Bernice Worden who was a victim of Ed Geins. There were two officers that found the body, Sherif Art Schley and Captain Lloyd Schoephoerster. The worst thing I think about finding such a body was that they were walking around in the dark as Gein had no electricity connected in either the house or the wooden shed where the body was found. Sheriff Schley felt something brush his shoulder and switched a flashlight on to see what it was.
Bernice Worden's body was hanging upside down from the rafters, naked and headless. Her body had been split from crotch to breast and disembowelled. The officers immediate thought was that she had been trimmed and gutted just like a deer.
It took some time for the two policemen to get a grip of themselves, and for the full horror of what they had witnessed to sink in. Eventually, Schoephoerster was the first to make it to the car. He radioed for help and then both men braced themselves and prepared to set foot back in the house.
A second look at the body revealed it was hanging from a wooden cross bar which had been sharpened and driven through the tendons of one ankle, the other foot having been slit below the hell and secured to the pole with wire.
The cross bar had been attached to a block and tackle, and then pulled up towards the rafters. Only once had Schley seen anything like it before, and that was in an abattoir. Whoever it was - and Schley had little doubt it was Bernice Worden - had been slaughtered and expertly dressed for butchery as if she were a side of beef.
