Posted - 04 May 2003 : 19:53:52 In a land of 900 million people, little Yu Chenhuan is a medial marvel. When he was born in 1977, to peasant parents in the remote Chinese province of Liaoning, doctors were baffled by the long, silky hair which grew in a fine line down his spine.
They were certain that it would quickly disappear. But instead, it kept on growing at a phenomenal rate, and within weeks covered Yu's entire body.
Soon, his face was so hairy that he became known for hundreds of miles around as the 'Wolf Boy' and his astonished mother and father found themselves keeping his beard trim in between bottle-feeding him. Despite a year of tests and experiments, Chinese scientists were forced to admit that they couldn't find a cure. Today, the hair still continues to grow. Yu, now a young boy, sports a full set of whiskers on his face and a dar, furry down still covers his entire body.
