NZ_John	Posted - 29 October 2004 : 8:08:48 PM I have 1 axy hes still small...i think. Anyway i am rather lazy with the cleaning of the tank, and i dont have a filter.(im poor). I was woundering if it would be safe to place snails in the tank to clean it..i was thinking that my axy would eat the snails..and shell wouldnt be that healthy..

spawn	Posted - 30 October 2004 : 10:03:07 AM snails are not a problem with the water ....... but snails tend to eat the flesh of axolotls not always but they do !!!!! as for filtration !!!!! you NEED IT for axolotls even if its just a corner box filter! they are like $4..... less than a "big mac" meal but my best advice to you is get one of these https://www.shyscyberchamber.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1704 and please do a water change at least every 2 weeks !!!! 1/3 of the tank water ! -= SPAWN =- -------------------------------------------- Plenty more fish in the sea --------------------------------------------
