  • Spilling salt is considered bad luck, probably because it was once so valuable. Superstition has it a person is doomed to
    shed as many tears as it takes to dissolve the spilled salt.

I was told by my aunt that while you are pregnant if you crave something and do not eat it your child will be born with that birthmark. also that if you cut your sons hair before the age of 5 the devil will seep into his mind and take his soul.
