HI ALL i was wondering..i have an ammonia ball..it is supposed to control the ammonia right..but is the ammonia ball instead of the CYCLING? or does the ammonia ball keep ammonia down while cycling starts up?

Please reply.

thanks.

Hi,
In reply to do the balls help (yes I know it is a very old topic :p)
They actually do the opposite - they work using a product called Zeolite or the like If i remember correctly. They work by mainly removing ammonia and other nasty (and good) compunds from the water. they remove the ammonia needed to help start the cycle.

Yes there are but they are whats known as "DYED"

they inject them with dye to change color it looks good but it will kill him or give him a tumar

so this is bad !!!!
