This weekend sees most of my favourite motorsport categories kick off for 2003 - now I feel like the year has started.
In Melbourne this weekend 20 Formula 1 cars will hit the track in anger for the first time this year. Can anyone beat Ferrari ? Probably not but even though last years F1 championship was incredibly boring we'll still be back for more this year. Hopefully somebody can wipe that smug look off of Schumachers face !
Also starting up this weekend are local Australian categories most noticeably the V8 Supercars and the PROCAR Championship Series. This year will be a big year for the V8s with new longer 300km races and Project Blueprint supposedly evenning the field between Holden and Ford.
Will anyone else here be watching ? |

That would be right. The first time I say it out loud that Schumachers gonna win and he doesn't....

Well I had a couple of friends over and we were all on the edge of our seats till the first 3 cars crossed the line. I cannot tell you how happy we all were that there were no Ferarris on the podium.
Also, at the beginning of the race where Barichello went off and the camera cut to a damaged Ferrari we all cheered until we released it wasn't Michael !
The racing for positions 2/3 & 4 was very close - some of the closest racing we have seen in F1 for a long time.

I agree, bring on the V8s! Although I have to admit, I DID watch this year's Grand Prix and it was the first exciting race ion about 2 years. Compulsory wet tracks, says I!!

I would be Buckshot if I thought someone other than Schmumacher was going to win... way too predictable for my liking... bring on the V8's!!
