Posted - 16 June 2007 : 1:48:11 PM My Salsa loves meal worms except when you give it to her she takes like 2 mins to eat one, she keeps spitting it out a little and then eatting it again. Do you think maybe there to big for her? Also I do the whole rub it next to her gills and then place it in front of her mouth but she doesn't seem to be able to suck them up strong enough. Help would be great.

Posted - 06 March 2005 : 12:51:34 PM Well, i tried him on mealworms and he loves them! I have to cut their heads off before feeding them to him though. When i tried giving him one with the head still on he spat it out. I've also bought him some 'Can O' Crickets' which he loves, but i'm going to have to cut those in half because they're too big for Sam to swallow. |

Posted - 24 May 2004 : 02:24:11 AM All you kids out there, or partners f the non-critter... do be aware that you should label the container before you put it in the fridge...
my mother was sincerely un-im-pressed when she found my stash in bran meal behind the tomatoes.
*Ahhh! the bran is moving!*
only prob i found with them is that they float, blighters gulp air when you drop them in. you have to place them underwater or handfeed as they can float for several days (i experimented a bit in the sink)
Oh, and the chitin (is that the right stuff? the shell material) does clog up fine filter mesh so keep an eye on it if you are feeding them often ;)
B loved them ;) If only they wouldnt drown to darn fast. |
