Ok, so I'm obssessed with this thing called love...freely admit it. Mushy quotes are great aren't they! *note sarcasm here, but still its philosophy*
When love beckons to you follow him, Though his ways are hard and steep. And when his wings enfold you yield to him, Though the sword hidden among his pinions May wound you. And when he speaks to you believe in him, Though his voice may shatter your dreams As the north wind lays waste the garden. For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth So is he for your pruning.
Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don't know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of withering, of tarnishing.
"I wasn't kissing her I was whispering in her mouth"

I have considered the looney bin option many many times myself, Iceheart. There are times when anything seems like a good alternative to this miserable life. I have been in the crazy place twice now, and I assure you, it is not some medicated vacation. It is purgatory for the mentally ill, a nursing home for young and old alike, it is a place where days run into nights, and over again. It is the home of the hopeless. I have been crippled by love, paralyzed with grief, and left alone to nurse my wounds. And no, it does not get any easier over time. Knowing this, I still have hope that oneday, things will be alright, that I will smile again...but until then...
Some mornings, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps. |

Posted - 30 September 2004 : 1:42:48 PM I was coming back to elaborate on my spiel from yesterday but you summed it up perfectly bloodsfire. There is no harder lesson Ive yet to come across that learning to love and let go. Even when the relationship becomes violent and you know the only way is out, not up, in the dead of night that feeling of love and longing still creeps up and washes over you leaving you feeling alone and vulnerable and its as hard as hell to learn to let that go, even tho its for your own good. The older you get the deeper the feelings become because each experience awakens more emotions within you - age brings wisdom but christ do the lessons hurt.

Posted - 29 September 2004 : 4:53:09 PM Complexity is not the issue, nor is age. Iceheart hit the nail right on the fuckin head when she mentioned the difference between the fantasy life of innocence, and the cruel realizations which come with experience. There is an invisible line drawn for each and every one of us that is the place where we trade wonder for wisdom, it is the point of no return. Learning to love requires that we learn what it is to lose as well. For every smile that steals across our faces, there are a million tears awaiting thier chance to fall. Never say never, and be careful what you wish for, lest you become a slave to your desires, locked away in a prison of your own inflexibility. I have yet to be rescued from some dramatic predicament by a knight in shining armor...Shit, I've never even seen 911 bring help before it's too late to matter. Reality is no walk in the park, but life is no better for the fantasy freaks...they haunt the hallways in mental hospitals all over the world.

LMAO - oh my god are you for real UL? You dont know nothing yet girl - you haven't experienced shit all compared to what you will have in another 5 years, and Im sure compared to a 25 year old woman, I myself know fuck all as well. The woman-mind is most certinly more complex than any other, but a 14 year olds mind is full of fantasies, most of which have yet to be fulfilled. My 20 year old mind is still full of fantasies, but many have been fulfilled and destroyed, unlocking emotions and stirring plots and schemes and thoughts all the more complex than your virginal little mind girl. The teenage mind is not more complex than an older mind, its still in training to become complicated!!!

Posted - 29 September 2004 : 02:56:21 AM Try being a teenager...You think the teen guys are bad, you should see what the girls think of. I can't look at someone of the male sex (NOT in my family, or little kids mind you.) without thinking, "Hmm, how would he be in bed?" Even if they're mentely retarded! Well that's because I've seen "The Boy Who Could Fly." a love story about a chick and her retarded friend..Damn tv. In my mind a whole love story plays out and if it doesn't make sense I dismiss it. If it does, I like them..The teenage woman mind is more complex then any other. Teen guys'll screw anything. An old lady, a ten year old, a goat..Hehe.

I think the plot is supposed to thicken. What grows is a whole other topic. Maybe we could take that discussion up in the sex forum? But it is true though, when love is the issue at hand, quite likely something will grow thicker and more ummm....you all get the point. My wit just dried right up on me in the middle of a perfectly good dirty thought! Fuck it... or whatever....

Posted - 06 September 2004 : 10:52:52 AM And me, I am raising $8000 to steal a pirate shippe to go take Brisbane Harbour and take iceheart as me wench. Problem is, painting the shippe will take a lot of effort, time. Am contacting weathly individuals to help, hoping they will live vicariously through my adventures. Time will smell, but just think back to times when ships were sent for trading, war missions, "when will my.....ship come in?" So, if it Winter here, and summer there, and I have Iceheart, the romantic tale of such excursion could be well purchased by,,,,many, kind of like the "RA" expedition. I shall naught require much local assistance, my research indicates that the pussies in Brisbane will scatter like flies to a swatter at the first cannon shot. Iceheart......hmmm.....ARGH!!!!!!!!! Me want, Me get. The plot grows, ........

Posted - 30 August 2004 : 4:38:44 PM Well put bloodsfire. Seems sometimes the more you love a person, the easier it is for them to cut you down....and for you to loathe them all in one breath.
If a stranger pisses you off, you call him a fuckwit and move on. If a loved one pisses you off (hardcore) it becomes a verbal slaying match the suddenly you loathe that person so much you can hardly believe you once loved them so much you went giddy when thinking of them.
The cure and a dis-ease all in one - so far in my time breathing, I'd more than willingly agree with that. And its only gonna get worse........

Posted - 12 August 2004 : 10:20:28 PM Why is it that Love is the disease and the cure all at once? Maybe love and hate are truly the root of all other emotions and states of being. In my time breathing, I know that it has been those dearest to me who have been able to slice me most effectively into weeping cross-sections. On the other hand, I have not ever felt true hatred for any but those I have loved the most. You can't hate a person if you just don't give a fuck, now can you?

Posted - 06 August 2004 : 11:37:25 AM Upon this night like many a night before I stand outside and dream of you Above me the stars wander across the dark The moon a shining light to guide them And to them i ask a task To always watch over you To keep you safe and sound And to pass my love on to you So whenever you look towards the realms above My love for you will always be shining down upon you No matter where i am No matter the distance or the troubles that keep us apart The truth of my love will always be clear The warmth of feeling always there To warm the cold nights To bring a simple smile to your beautiful lips

Posted - 12 July 2004 : 09:32:30 AM A rose by any other name... Love is a prismatic and complex thing, but my great aumt once confessed to me the true secret of her 40 year marriage. She told me that 'love is a decision you make. i do not like your uncle all the time, indeed some days i wake up and wish he'd dissapear, but i will love him forever. i have chosen to do so and will.' The flip side of that is the great passionate love that crosses our paths rarely. That love that chooses us, and posesses the very soul. Passion usualy ends as ragingly as it begins... I have come to think some middle ground is best. Indeed, passion lives in my head, so I will always have it. I married the way one would choose a pet - low maintenance, and there when you need him. Some say I have settled, I say business and pleasure can mix after all.

Posted - 09 July 2004 : 08:54:42 AM That is naught true, Jamie, except in certain instances. I think many pursue and gain, then lack the creativity to appreciate their love. As many get bored with life, although it is limitless and filled with millions of pursuits and THINGS TO DO! It always astounded me, the basic persons' lack of creativity in any given situation. Thought processes have to change, as our information and ways of work does. But human emotion shall always remain the unknown factor, heck, keeps it interesting. It will be more valid soon to know how to look up knowledge, rather than memorizing it. Scary, picture this, you are being seduced by a "nice" man, he slips off your bloomers, then the a-hole has to go to his key-bored/monitor to figure out what to do next....ok, extreme example, but this kind of thing is coming, even if you are not. Know how many 18 year olds can't change a tire, or have no concept of the internal combustion engine? Never fired a firearm? Never grown a food plant? Don't know how an A-bomb works, much less a 1773 Brown Bess rifle? Just discussion topics, I am in-sulting no one. Study that computer, but have back-up when it shuts down......
