Well it's finally starting, this weekend sees the first championship round of Australia's mighty V8 Supercars on the streets of Adelaide.

This year is a whole new ball game with project blueprint and new teams coming into effect. HRT are of course favourites but there are so many new elements this year with the new VY and BA models that we won't really have a clear picture of how they perform against one another until we start seeing the timing sheets from practise and qualifying.

Cause for concern though - If war breaks out with Iraq the V8 telecast may be cancelled and then V8 fans go to war on Channel 10 !
