It is said that if the person buried lived a good life, flowers will grow on the grave. If the person was evil, weeds will grow.

Once dug a grave should not be left empty over a Sunday or someone else must die first to fill it.
If you are to walk over the grave of an unbaptised child you will be punished by catching the fatal diease called "grave-scab".
If a pregnant womas walks over a grave her child will be born with a club foot.
