WASHINGTON - As Spring dawns on the Northwestern part of the
United States, piles of snow are melting to reveal...hundreds
of urine-filled bottles. While cleaning crews stumbled along
the motorways, they discovered what they believe to be evi-
dence of travelers who were "caught short" on long road trips.
They figured the drivers relieved themselves in their cars
and simply pitched the bottles overboard. In fact, according
to Gary Lambacher of the state government, over 300 bottles
were found in Spokane in one week alone. That certainly makes
for an appealing postcard to would-be tourists.
