Subject: The Trodmore Hoaxers [Part 2] Just before a Bank Holiday, one of the gang delivered to The Sportsman a race card for Trodmore. It duly appeared in the paper. None of the horses ever ran, but the ‘winner’ – Reaper – was later announced. The gang had placed dozens of bets on it with the bookmakers throughout London. They got their money and were never caught.
