These fish are far from fussy eaters. They like nothing better to chomp upon the dirt and dead skin from people's feet. Visitors to the Hakone Hotel in Japan are queuing up to stick a toe in the water.
As they relax around the hotbath, these 'Doctor Fish' give their feet a nibble.
As the fish lick away dead skin cells they are said to help cure skin conditions.
Scientists have found they have more of an appetite for diseased skin than for healthy skin.
The 'Doctor Fish' are the Garra Rufa species. Reassuringly they are omnivorous and lick rather than bite the feet.
